Reclaim agency, reclaim power.
One of the original influencers who I’ve subscribed and follow is Lao Tzu. Don’t bother checking out his podcast, he stopped posting about 2,500 years ago. Today, I want to draw attention his quote: “He who conquers others is strong. He who conquers himself is mighty.”
A modern complimentary perspective is provided by Ralph Waldo Emerson, essayist and philosopher, who said, “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us”.
To me, they are both a call to agency. To redirect the power back to where it belongs: in you.
It's time to reclaim your agency.
And if not in the last month of the year, then when? The New Year will be by design or default.
We’re in an age of information excess and execution deficit. I believe in skill acquisition but quite often, confidence to deliver creates interference. Matter over mind prevails.
